Five Customer Service Centers In The PRC To Open This Year — Set Up Sales Team To Serve Financial Services And Insurance Sector In The Greater China

News Release – Jan 11, 2010

(Hong Kong, 10 January, 2010) – Automated Systems Holdings Limited (“ASL” or “the Group”) (stock code: 771), a leading information technology (IT) services provider in Hong Kong, opened an office in Shenzhen in late December 2009, marking the beginning of its plan to step up business expansion in Mainland China in the new year.

The new office is the second mainland office of the Group, with the first opened in Guangzhou in 2006. These two offices represent the effort of the Group to support its existing clients in expanding their businesses in Mainland China and new clients in South China to pursue businesses in the regions and vicinity areas.

To seize untapped potential of the mainland market, the Group decided to set up another five customer service centers in major cities in the country, namely Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shenyang and Zhuhai this year. When the centers all open, plus the two offices, ASL will be servicing clients from seven sites providing them with prompt services. Backed by Beijing Teamsun Technology Co., Ltd. (“Teamsun”), the ultimate shareholder of ASL, who has a strong support network and extensive business coverage in the PRC, the Group is confident of growing its business quickly in Mainland China.

Mr. Lai Yam Ting, Chief Executive Officer of Automated Systems Holdings Limited, said, “We picked Shenzhen to open our new office because it is among the fastest growing cities in Mainland China and the busiest port in the Pearl River Delta Region. It will give us a strong springboard for strengthening our presence in the country and other Asian markets and allow us to reinforce our reputation as a leading IT services provider in the region.”

ASL Shenzhen office, located in Shenzhen High-tech Industrial Park, Nanshan District, enjoys transportation convenience. It will offer a comprehensive portfolio of IT products and services, as well as enterprise solutions, such as Business Intelligence (BI), content management, networking, hospitality and storage solution, etc. to support the operations of local and cross-territories clients in various industries such as logistics, transportation, banking and finance, post and telecom. Anticipating growth in demand for quality IT services and solutions, the new office can accommodate approximate 15 professionals to deliver better and faster services to customers.

The Group has also spotted opportunities to capture IT demand of the financial services and insurance (FSI) sector in the Greater China with a growing number of Hong Kong-based and overseas banks and financial firms having set up offices or planning to enter PRC market. In October 2009, the Group together with Teamsun secured a project to implement a networking system for an office tower in Shanghai for one of the largest independent banks in Hong Kong. Other notable projects undertaken last year included supply of security appliances and maintenance services to the PRC offices of an international bank in Hong Kong. These projects speak to the business potential of the FSI sector for the Group and, to facilitate exploiting of this potential, the Group has established a sales team dedicated to serving the regional development needs of the sector and multi-national customers.

Besides, the Group continued to capture business derived from Hong Kong customers with business across the territories. In December 2009, it obtained a service contract from a Shenzhen subsidiary of a Hong Kong-based railway to provide on-site help desk support to approximate 300 users. Other major projects secured included infrastructure projects for a well-known Hong Kong-based corporation, provision of maintenance services to the Chengdu office of a Hong Kong-listed company and supply of database software to the Customer Relationship Management project of the Dah Chong Hong subsidiary – Guangzhou Xinchang Information Technology Co. Ltd. Proven track records for local customers in Mainland China last year included provision of security products to a leading mainland telecom operator, implementation of customized enterprise content management system for a judiciary department, implementation of desktop virtualization solution including provision of 3-year maintenance services to the Panyu Substation of the Guangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce Bureau.

“The FSI sales team and the offices set up, and five customer services centers to open in the PRC are our efforts to provide better support to our customers and expand service coverage across the Greater China region. We are optimistic about capturing the numerous business opportunities in China. Drawing on the expertise and resources of our headquarters and center of excellence in Hong Kong and the partnership with Teamsun, we are positive about our performance in the rest of the year.” Mr. Lai concluded.
