Further Consolidates Technology Resources — Optimises Business Strategies across Industries in Greater China Region

(Hong Kong, 26 August 2016) – Automated Systems Holdings Limited (“ASL” or “the Group”) (HKEX stock code: 771), a trustworthy and professional information technology (“IT”) partner in the region, announced that it is collaborating with Shenzhen Ueee Network Technology Co. Ltd. (“Ueee”), a leading new-energy vehicle integrated service provider in Mainland China, to build a research and development (“R&D”) center in Southern China, which will enable it to optimize technology resources and both parties can jointly expand the market for related business segments in Mainland China, in particular Southern China. Ueee is a software management system service provider, the first in China to offer one-stop solutions for vehicle charging issues via a mobile app. Its primary business covers R&D and production of charging facility, network development, and also provision of turnkey professional services such as charging operation and pre-sale and after-sale services for electric vehicles.

The Group endeavours to execute a development strategy aiming for diversification, with an emphasis on its capability in information technology and software development. It has kept enhancing its service efficiency and delivery quality through long-term and continuous capital investment. In this regard, the Group invested in setting up an Offshore Delivery Excellence Center (“ODEC”) in Guangzhou at the beginning of the year, and through the center, it can further effectively utilize ample technical human resources in Mainland China to improve delivery efficiency and reduce operating costs.

The next step in development for ODEC shall be based on the Group’s R&D capability and market-oriented strategy, focusing on specific markets or industries, the aim of which is to gradually enhance ODEC’s professional service delivery capabilities and knowledge to meet the demand for various industries. As a professional IT service company, the Group believes this is an important piece in its business plan for the Greater China region so as to achieve sustainable development.
