News Release – August 25, 2016
(Hong Kong, 25 August 2016) – Automated Systems Holdings Limited (“ASL” or “the Group”) (HKEX stock code: 771), a trustworthy and professional information technology (“IT”) partner in the region, announced that Mr. Wang Yueou (“Mr. Wang”), who is currently Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Group, will be taking up the Chief Executive Officer position and continue to be an Executive Director of the Group.
The Board of ASL congratulates Mr. Wang on the appointment. Stepping into the 21st century, the development of IT has become a major driver of fast society-wide productivity growth and IT is also one of the dominant industries in the economy. With ASL being a long-standing IT enterprise in Hong Kong, a major mission of its new management team is to clearly define the Group’s market positioning in the fast-changing IT industry and keep the Group abreast of the times and tap new business opportunities. Mr. Wang has worked in the IT industry, in particular the software sector, for more than 20 years. He also has rich experience in finance, overall operational management and capital operation. The Board hopes that, at his leadership, the new management team will work in a close cooperation, with members applying fully their respective strengths, and lead ASL in opening a new chapter of development.
Mr. Wang joined ASL in 2011 and was the financial controller, Chief Financial Officer and the Joint Company Secretary of the Group. He has been appointed as an Executive Director of the Group since 17 September 2015. Currently, Mr. Wang is a director of certain subsidiaries and an associate of the Company (i.e. i-Sprint Innovations Pte Ltd), the chief financial officer and a director of Carnation Software Ltd., a subsidiary of Beijing Teamsun Technology Co., Ltd., the Group’s ultimate holding company. He was the chief financial officer and a board secretary of Guangzhou Headway Technology Co., Ltd., and a regional finance manager (China) of Wistron Information Technology & Services Corporation. Mr. Wang holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Accounting from Jinan University, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales, United Kingdom and an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Research Institute of Tsinghua University.
At the same time, Mr. Ngan Wai Hing (“Mr. Ngan”) will be appointed as the Financial Controller and will remain as the Company Secretary of the Group. Mr. Ngan joined ASL in 2009 and was a financial controller of a subsidiary of the Group. He has been the Joint Company Secretary of the Group since 2014. Mr. Ngan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Administration (major in accounting) from the University of New England, Australia and is a certified public accountant of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a certified practicing accountant of CPA Australia.
The above-mentioned appointments will be effective from 1 September 2016.
