News Release – December 14, 2011

Hong Kong, 14 December 2011 — Automated Systems Holdings Limited (‘ASL’ or ‘Automated’) (SEHK stock code: 771), a leading IT services provider in the region, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Automated Systems (HK) Limited, has successfully achieved the ISO 20000 IT Service Management (ITSM) Certification from the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). The scope of the ISO 20000 certification encompasses managed services, internal helpdesk and IT service support.

ISO 20000 is a highly respected international quality standard that promotes an integrated framework for ITSM processes, which are essential for the effective delivery of high quality IT services. The standard is closely aligned with IT infrastructure library (ITIL) best practices, the most widely adopted approach to ITSM. The certification demonstrates ASL’s capability to deliver an international standard of IT service management, which will improve the company’s internal efficiency and customer satisfaction.

ASL’s customers can be confident of the company’s commitment to provide a high level of service that meets their business requirements through controlled processes and best practices. In addition, the certification will help to differentiate ASL from its competitors by providing international recognition, which is needed for the company to expand its customer base across the region.

“We are extremely proud to have achieved this prestigious certification, which helps reinforce our long standing position as a leading IT services provider in the region. The certification ensures we are aligned with our mission to deliver exceptional and high quality IT services that exceed customers’ expectations, while continuously improving our business processes. By complying with both ITIL and ISO standards, we hope to facilitate the ongoing improvement on the delivery of service excellence within the company,” said Mr. Henry Hui, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Automated Systems Holdings Limited.

In a competitive marketplace such as Hong Kong, it is no longer sufficient to just deliver products and solutions. It is essential for a services provider to really understand customers’ needs and be equipped with the expertise and skills to deliver a comprehensive service. Only 15 companies in Hong Kong currently hold ISO 20000 certification and today ASL becomes the 16th – one of the few IT companies to earn this accreditation.

“Striving for service excellence is one of ASL’s core business values and this critical IT services certification can contribute to meeting that goal. ASL is constantly committed to delivering a combination of top-notch solutions, services and products to help our customers reap the benefits of their IT investments. This achievement cements our capabilities to guarantee service quality to customers that rely on our trusted services to meet their business objectives,” added Hui.

In pursuit of higher service quality and top-class IT solutions using more proven processes, ASL has also completed the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) appraisal, successfully achieving the maturity rating Level 3 version 1.3. This success further demonstrates ASL’s continuous improvement in service quality.

Recognised as the industry best process improvement model, the CMMI framework aligns management and engineering activities to business objectives, helping organizations to achieve increased product and service quality as well as improved productivity and Return On Investment. ASL’s compliance to the module standard will ensure customers receive a consistent quality standard across different software development projects.

Looking ahead, ASL is committed to further extending process improvement to a wider scope of international standard so as to give higher value and quality IT services to customers.
